Hot Toddy

Ingredients

Glass: latte glass
Method: build and stir
50ml whisky
10ml honey
25ml lemon juice
1 cracked cinnamon stick
4 cloves
Grated nutmeg
Dash of Angostura bitters
Hot water

Method

Place all the ingredients in a latte glass and top with hot water.

Grated nutmeg

Other Information

Originally a hot drink dating back to early Victorian times, made with sweetened alcohol, water and various spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg or cloves. Said to be a sure cure for the common cold. Drink enough of these and they’ll cure almost anything. They taste better being made by mums.
